As everyone gets used to being back on campus, we want to keep you informed about road closures and traffic updates. There will be road closures on campus from Sept 19th to Oct 13th.
GMU transportation sent all students an email regarding this, but the main points are highlighted below. Please make sure to plan for extra time in your commute to accommodate the changes.
Highlights from GMU Transportation
On the dates of the EagleBank Arena events, avoid the southern end of campus off Braddock Rd. near the Arena and take a picture of all the closings on campus to keep on your phone, and plan around them before:
Sept. 19th – Sept. 23rd – Inbound (southbound) lane on George Mason Blvd. between University Dr. and Patriot Circle will be closed
Sept. 19th – Oct. 7th – Patriot Circle between Lot I and Campus Drive will be reduced to one-way southbound traffic only. Northbound traffic must turn at Campus Drive.
Sept. 26th – Oct. 7th – Both lanes on George Mason Blvd between University Dr. and Patriot Circle will be closed.
If you enter campus from University Drive, use Aquia Creek Lane by Subway or follow University Dr. around Rappahannock River Deck.
Oct. 10th – Oct. 13th – Expect lane closures (both lanes will still be open) at the George Mason Blvd. and University Drive intersection.r
